Toys for Tots drop off at J. R. Schultz Agency

Farm Bureau Insurance Serves as Major Sponsor of the Mid-Michigan Toys for Tots Program

We are happy to announce that Farm Bureau Insurance is the mid-Michigan 2015 Toys for Tots Program major sponsor.

The insurance company, along with other local organizations, is teaming up with the Home Builders Association of Greater Lansing (HBA) to help the U.S. Marine Corps in their efforts to collect new, unwrapped toys during the holiday season. These toys will be distributed as Christmas gifts to less fortunate children in our community.

The overall goal of the Toys for Tots Program is to deliver, through a new toy at Christmas, a message of hope to less fortunate youngsters that will assist them in becoming responsible, productive, patriotic citizens. In addition, the program enables businesses to play an active role in the development of one our nation’s most valuable resources – our children; while uniting members of local communities in a common cause.

The J. R. Schultz Agency office will serve as a donation site for toys from members of the community.  If you are able to and wish to participate, please consider making a toy donation to one of these boxes. Overall, this year’s goal for Toys for Tots is to collect 4,200 toys and to raise more than $20,000.

Top Places in Michigan to Work?

The Detroit Free Press just released it's Top Places to work in Michigan and guess what?

I don't know all the survey results that ranked Farm Bureau Insurance as one of the top places in Michigan to work, but I attribute this award to the leadership of the company and the deliberate efforts that are made to create a family environment.

All I can say is that this is not an accident.  

Great places to work require great leaders to keep them moving in the right direction.

For that I am Thankful and grateful to represent this Family of Companies called Michigan Farm Bureau.
